“MORE THAN WE CAN IMAGINE”

The "More Than We Can Imagine" began on Sunday, December  10, 2006 as "First Fruits" Sunday was observed.  This was the first Sunday for the receipt of contributions to the "More Than We Can Imagine" Capital Campaign to build a Chapel/Missions Center; to address our HVAC systems; to renovate our kitchern and Fellowship Hall; and to building a Children's Ministry facility.

As of the end of October, 2007, members of Providence Baptist Church have given $2.8M toward the IMAGINE Campaign.  This is a wonderful start and we are thankful for the faithfulness and generosity of our members.  The Facilities Planning Team has been working diligently since January.  In May 2007, the church voted to relocate the original Chapel Sanctuary and build an adjoining Missions Center.  Work began this summer on that project.  Several logistics challenges have been encounted, but at this point (October 2007) all of the permits have been issued and the footings are scheduled to be poured within the next week.

On Sunday, November 4, the church APPROVED the recommendation of the Facilities Planning Team to 1) address our HVAC systems, 2) renovate the kitchen, and 3) build a Children's Ministry Building. 

In his letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul concludes chapter three with these words: “Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than we can ask or image, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

God our father, sustainer, and provider,
We come to you in faith, thanking you for calling us together as your church,
We thank you for your provisions in the past,
We pray for your visions to be made clear to us for the future.

We acknowledge our responsibility to enhance and expand your kingdom here on earth.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your kingdom building.
Grant us the wisdom and courage for these days.

You are the giver of all we have and are.
Make us good stewards of the gifts you have given to us.
Help us to cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly, and return them generously.
