On Sunday morning, July 18, Pastor Al Cadenhead leads the congregation in prayer for 

the safety and the purpose of the High School Mission Trip to Smyrna, Tennessee.

Following the Prayer of Dedication, the High School students and Sponsors

load the bus for the trip to Smyrna, Tennessee.

The group will arrive at the destination on the evening of July 18.

The renovation work scheduled for the week will begin on Monday

morning, July 19. The group will return to Charlotte on July 24.

Pictured below are Chloe Grogran and Brian Daniels who were the recipients of the 2009 Clark Family Scholarship and the PBC Youth Leadership Scholarship respectively..  These scholarships are given to the Providence high school seniors who have been active and supportive of the youth-student program at the church during their high school years. 

Chloe plans to attend North Carolin State University and Brian plans to attend Clemson University.

We congratulate Chloe and Brian on the awarding of these scholarship.
