To go directly to the web-page of Providence's library, click on the link below. You will be taken to the "front page" of the library computer system. The books in our Adult and Children libraries have been entered into a computer program for convenience in maintaining complete records on all books and periodicals. Currently, you can visit the library, when a librarian is present and become acquainted with the "check-out" and "check-in" features of the new computer system.
With the addition of the access to the library via a computer, you are able to browse the books in our libraries from the convenience of your computer to determine if the libraries have a book or books in which you are interested. The "SEARCH" feature on the "front page" of the library program enables your search for books by title, topic, and author.

SELBY DANIELS HONORED and THANKED!
|

As a part of a recent Anniversary Sunday celebration, the Library/Media Center staff organized a gathering that honored and thanked Selby Daniels for the many books he has given to the Library. Selby is a collector of many books, including rare books dealing with the Civil War and North Carolina History. A special section of the Library/Media Center has been reserved for the books dealing with North Carolina history donated by Selby. At the occasion, Selby indicated that more books would be forthcoming "because the floor of my house will not hold up under the load of the books. And I want the church to have them." We are grateful for Selby's generosity of books donated to the Providence Baptist Church's Library/Media Center. The Providence Library/Media Center currently has dual physical locations. The Children's Library is in room # 1304 (first floor of the Activities Building next to the Weekday Education Ministry office.) The primary Library/Media Center is in room # 1311 (first floor of the Activities Building, first room on the right as you enter the Activities Building.)
Librarians are: Rachel Rentz, Libby Gray, Ben Rentz, and Virginia Whilden.
