Music for 6th-12th Graders


Middle School Choir - open to 6th-8th grades

High School Choir - open to 9th-12th grades
High School Choir is directed by Minister of Music, Carey Cannon.

This summer, our High School Choir traveled to Washington, DCand participated in the YouthCue National Festival with other youth choirs from around the region. They visited Great Falls, Maryland, worshipped at a nearby monastery, and sang the national anthem for a Washington Nationals baseball game.  The festival concluded with a concert at 7:30 pm at the National Cathedral. Pictured below is a scene from that concert.

High School Choir

HSC 2010

The 35-voice High School Choir from Providence Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina is under the direction of Carey J. Cannon. This choir tours annually each summer and has sung in churches in the United Kingdom, at the National Cathedral in Washington DC, the United Nations in New York City, and Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.  Their singing venues have included nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and drug treatment facilities in the eastern United States.  Their most recent tour of North Carolina and Virginia involved singing in VA medical centers.  This summer the choir sang in Jamaica as part of a combined effort with the entire High School Youth group to help construct a church community center.  They also facilitated a Vacation Bible School for the Kingston School of the blind.
