A Message from the Pastor!
Providence is an energetic and dynamic community of faith. We are progressively traditional in our approach to worship and practice of faith as we gather regularly to celebrate the glory and grace of Jesus Christ. Worship is central to all that we do.
We take seriously our responsibilities for spiritual growth and development, seeking to make what we discover and learn in Bible study and worship a consistent part of our lives elsewhere. We believe in the authority of the Bible and at the same time believe in the right of all individuals to prayerfully interpret Scripture for themselves.
We recognize the infinite worth of every individual as we stand before God and one another. We are not divided by the labels of sex, race or background and believe that God has called each of us to be His Ministers in our world. Freedom is extremely important to us as a body of believers.
We are a servant church, not bound by a building, believing very strongly that we must move beyond the walls of this site to a community and world that desperately need what we have discovered in our Lord Christ. We believe that "missions" is not just an occasional activity of our church but genuinely describes our total business.

Bereavement Team Members Needed
The Bereavement Team Ministry began at Providence several years ago to assist church families immediately after the loss of a loved one. Team members provide food and assist with family meals and provide the family with additional assistance before and after the funeral/memorial service. There are three teams that are organized at this time. We are always in need of additional members/teams to assist. This is a wonderful ministry to members of the church as they experience a death in the family. If you are interested in serving in this ministry at Providence, please contact Penny Hewett (704.553.0688) if you are interested or would like additional information regarding the ministry.
