PRESCHOOL MINISTRY
Preschoolers, from babies to kindergarteners, are offered many opportunities for learning together. On Sunday mornings, Sunday School is offered at 9:45 a.m. to provide all ages with Bible learning experiences. We use the Smyth and Helwys curriculum as we seek to lay biblical foundations in the life of every child. Also on Sunday mornings, extended session is offered during both of our morning worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 for babies through preK. Our kindergarteners join their families in worship.
On Wednesday evenings, (During the school year) preschool choirs are offered for ages 3 - 6 years to introduce them to musical expression. Preschool choirs meet at 5:45 p.m. followed by Mission Friends at 6:30 p.m. During Mission Friends, preschoolers are introduced to mission action and the work of Baptist missionaries. Childcare is offered for infants, toddlers and two's during the Wednesday evening programs.
Special programs for preschoolers include the Easter Rock Hunt, Parent/Child Dedication Services, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, and the Preschool Angel Breakfast.
Enjoy Kids Music at Providence!
Kids Music offers music classes for babies-4's at Providence on Wednesdays. Kids Music is a delightful way to enjoy a music experience with your child! Contact Sandy Barber @ 704-451 0647. (The schedule for this activity is determined by Sandy Barber.)
Need some cheap fun for your children? Friday Night Skate is offered each Friday evening in our Activities Center from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (7:30-9:00 during basketball season). The cost is $1.00.
MOMS...Come celebrate motherhood!
MOMS group is a time of study, fellowship and discussion. MOMS meets every Thursday morning from September through May from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Upstairs Parlor (Room 2111). You are invited to come share the joys and stresses of your week and discuss Christian books centered around parenting and family.
Childcare for infants and preschoolers is available at no cost, but reservations are required. To reserve childcare, please call Sherri Dickens, Preschool Associate, 704 366 4030 EXT 138.
