Our focus is to provide intentional opportunities for single adults of all ages to build healthy relationships, as well as to build productive personal and spiritual lives. Providence Baptist Church is a place in which single adults will experience acceptance and encouragement. Single adults will find a number of ways to become involved in church life and opportunties to serve the congregation in leadership roles.

SINGLES ASSIST WITH "FASHION" EVENT:
In November 2006 AND 2007, the singles group at Providence assisted with the annual "Fashion" program sponsored by Youth and Family Service of DSS. One of Providence's singles is an employee in the organization. The annual event features minors who are eligible for adoption in a setting with families seeking to add members to the family. The event was held in our Fellowship Hall and Providence's singles provided logistical support for the occasion. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved; children, potential families, DSS, and providence.
Plans are being made for the 2008 event to be held once again at Providence!

SINGLES MISSION TRIP TO KENTUCKY
Eight of Providence's singles traveled to Eastern Kentucky on mission to repair the home of a family of five in Owsley County.
For two and a half days, these eight singles plus the Youth Services Director at the high school painted and repaired a house that had been neglected for a long period of time. In addition to the repair/paint, furniture purchased by various Sunday School classes at Providence was delivered, assembled, and placed in the house.
This was the first mission trip for Providence's singles to Eastern Kentucky, a project adopted by Providence as part of its 50th Anniversary in conjunction with the Rural Poverty Initiative coordinated by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
