Pictured above is HARRY BROWN with Dr. Cadenhead on the occasion of the special recognition on Wednesday evening, April 25. Harry and Pansy Brown are long-term members of the church and have served in various capacities.  Harry is most noted as the self-appointed "GREETER" at the main entrance (Rotunda) of the church for several decades.  In addition, he gave special attention to the campus through the years that they have been members.  Many of the plants and trees we currently enjoy were donated and/or planted by Harry.  In the early days, members of the church were responsible for the "grounds" and Harry was always involved and a "leader" of this group for many years.

ANNE FISHER

Anne is a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL and Columbia International University in Columbia, SC.  She has extensive experience working with children as  Kindergarten Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Academic Coordinator, Elementary Principal, and Christian School Administrator.

She joined our staff at Director of the Children Development Center earlier this year.  We welcome Anne to our staff as a family member of the Ministry Staff Team at Providence Baptist Church.

Providence's format for the 8:30 am worship service continues:

In 2010, after many months of research, prayer, interviews, and sharing, the Worship Strategy Team of the Deacons recommended that a different worship format be included in the church's worship experiences.  In lieu of scheduling another worship time, the decision was made to re-format the "early" Sunday worship experience.  This service has experienced increased attendance during the past year.  You are invited to attend this service every Sunday in the sanctuary at 8:30 am.

To help with this endeavor, the talents of Noel Friedline was secured to assist with the worship experience. The music team, consisting of singers and instrumentalists, is composed of Providence members and coordinated by our Minister of Music, Carey Cannon.

Our traditional worship format is observed at the 11:00 am worship service.  This service is also held in the Sanctuary.
