Dane, a Virginia native, ministers to students in grades 6-12 and their families and leads an incredible team of volunteers and interns. He teaches on a weekly basis in large and small group settings, trains and equips leaders, and educates families on cultural trends surrounding today’s young people.

Prior to that, Dane has served as the Minister to Students at Mechanicsville Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, Virginia, where he was ordained and Second Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, where he was baptized. While living in Virginia, Dane served as a volunteer chaplain for the Hanover County Sheriff’s Department and the Henrico County Police Department.

Dane has served on the executive board of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Youth Ministry Network (President), the Youth Committee of the Baptist World Alliance, the Coordinating Council of CBF Virginia, the Youth Advisory Team of CBF North Carolina, and on the leadership team of the Virginia Baptist Youth Minister’s Association. He has also served on the Youth Advisory Board for Passport Camps Inc.

Dane preaches and teaches at camps, retreats, conferences, and seminaries around the country and world. He serves on the Alumni Board of Directors at his alma mater, High Point University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Youth, Family, and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

Dane and his wife, Caitie, also a minister, have two dogs, Buffy and Booker. Dane enjoys coffee, sushi, tacos, and North Carolina BBQ, but his “most favorite” thing is eating a crab cake sandwich and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles.
