PHOTOGRAPHY APPOINTMENT ONLINE SIGN-UP

Families of Providence Baptist Church can schedule an appointment to have your individual, or your family photograph taken for the latest edition of our Pictorial Directory.  Please "click" on the link printed below and you will be transferred to the online sign-up site of the publisher of our directory - Lifetouch.

On this site you can schedule your appointment from the comfort of your home/office.  If you use the online appointment feature, you do not need to schedule an appointment in the rotunda on Sundays and/or Wednesdays.

Providence initiates a new format for the 8:30 am worship service.

After many months of research, prayer, interviews, and sharing, the Worship Strategy Team of the Deacons recommended that a different worship format be included in the church's worship experiences.  In lieu of scheduling another worship time, the decision was made to re-format the "early" Sunday worship experience.

Additional resources were needed and a number of church members have "volunteered" to assist and support a "non-traditional" worship service.  To help with this endeavor, the talents of Noel Friedline have been secured to assist with the worship experience.  He has been involved in a non-traditional service in another church prior to coming to Providence.  And Noel is not a new-comer to Providence.  He and his quintet have been with us for the past three years during our Shrove Tuesday observance preceding Ash Wednesday.  Noel assistance with the service will include music accompanied by his keyboard talents.  We welcome Noel to our church and look forward to the contribution of his talents to the 8:30 am worship experience.  Additional musicians have been enlisted to provide instrumental and vocal musical support.

The 8:30 am worship service is held in the Sanctuary.  We invite you to worship with us.

Our traditional worship format is observed at the 11:00 am worship service.  This service is also held in the Sanctuary.  We invite you to worship with us.

There will be two hard copies of this document available for reading at the Rotunda Reception Desk during regular church office hours.

ONLINE CONTRIBUTIONS

Make your giving to the church to support PBC missions, ministries and program easier and convenient!   Did you know you can contribute to Providence in the same manner in which you pay your home bills?  Contributions to PBC can be established via your online banking option or set up as an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) via the PBC website.  When using online banking, simply set up PBC as one of your recurring payees and use your envelope number as your account number.  If you wish to contribute via EFT, you may set up your contribution to PBC online using the SECURE link shown below. 

When you "click" on the SECURE link, you will be prompted for the appropriate information. You will also be provided with a page of FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions – to answer questions you may have.

Using either option, you may still designate to which funds/programs you wish your contribution to go.  In addition you can set the frequency of recurrence or schedule your payment (weekly, semi-monthly, monthly), or make a one-time contribution.  Electronic giving is safer than writing a check, and it cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed in the mail.  All EFT transactions are governed by strict national rules and guidelines.  All information is confidential.  The Finance Office will maintain a confidential Record of Contribution file for you.  At the end of the calendar year, information concerning your contributions will be mailed to you for your records and income tax considerations.
If you choose to use either method, please contact us and indicate if you wish to eliminate the monthly mailing of envelopes to your home address.  This will eliminate envelope and mailing expense to the Church

Providence Baptist Church began in 1954 with a group of young families who had moved to the Cotswold community of south Charlotte.  At that time, Randolph Road was only two lanes, but houses were being built and those first families saw the potential for the development of this area of Charlotte and the need for a church.
